Extra ROM Pack v1.0

The stock TF card comes with ilo musi 8 doesn't contain these extra ROMs because of its unclear licensing situation.

This is the stock ROM pack that comes with the TF card of ilo musi 8. It gets updated from time to time so you might want to redownload it.

Other ROMs

You can download other CHIP-8 ROMs from the internet and play it on ilo musi 8. Make sure to rename the ROM so that it has the file extension of .CH8 (example: "XXXX.CH8")

• Supported platforms: CHIP-8 (VIP), SuperCHIP. Partial support: XO-CHIP
• For XO-CHIP, audio's fully supported. Color mode isn't supported.
• For XO-CHIP, only support up to 4K memory. i.e. the ROM size must not be larger than 3584 bytes
• The performance of ilo musi 8 is up to 5400ips (90 instructions/frame). Some performance-intensive games won't run properly (e.g. Danm8ku)
• Depending on the quirks and fonts required, you may need to add an accompanied .INI file on your own. Documentation's available here: Game Config INI Format Specification for ilo musi 8. You can also create and modify the .INI file with the button C on the ilo musi 8 menu.

Method of Loading New Games into ilo musi 8

Each ilo musi 8 unit comes with a TF card and a USB-TF card adapter.

You'd need to first put the game into the TF card (via the adapter if needed). If it's a .ZIP file, extract the games inside before putting them into the TF card.

After that, insert that TF card into ilo musi 8 and you can play there.
